Jeff Hobson, DDS

Throughout my career, I have found dentistry to be both challenging and rewarding.

I enjoy working with patients on a professional level, addressing their dental concerns and helping them achieve and maintain the results they desire. I equally enjoy working one-to-one with each person, establishing communication and trust and helping each feel at ease during visits.

Through my profession, I have the opportunity to provide a service that brings about positive changes in people’s lives: removing pain, restoring function and health, and offering education and encouragement. Sometimes that service is simply listening, so the individual knows I am here and care about them.

As a dentist, there is an opportunity to reach so many people and really have a positive impact on each and every life, dentally and personally. For me, this is what it is all about.

Education and Experience

I was drawn to dentistry out of a desire to be part of the health field and to serve the public, and also because it allows me to express my artistic side.

Prior to practicing, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences at Pacific Lutheran University. This was followed by dental school, at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS).

I have now practiced dentistry for over 30 years and know this was the ideal career choice. Helping people lead healthier and happier lives, providing a safe and comfortable environment, and developing personal connections are professionally and personally rewarding.

Continuing Education and Professional Affiliations

I have found, through over 30 years of practicing, that continuing to strive for the best possible treatment results is vitally important. One of the best ways to achieve this is through continuing education (CE), which allows me to utilize the most leading-edge technologies and techniques.

I strive to continually learn and improve my ability as a dental provider through many forms of CE. These include being a Kois Center Graduate with ongoing continuing education, and taking advantage of the many courses, meetings, and publications offered through professional organizations.

As an active member of the:

I have access to numerous opportunities to further my knowledge, acquire new skills, and keep current on the latest advancements and trends. This ensures I am providing each patient with the leading-edge dental care they deserve, for the best treatment experience and outcome.

Beyond the Practice

I was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and moved to Western Washington, to Tacoma at a young age.

Now Roy, Washington is home to me. Loretta, my wife of almost 25 years, and I have lived in our same house for over 20 years and considers ourselves to be true country folk. We have four children and four grandchildren. We are also proud owners of miniature dachshunds and recently adopted a Chorkie into our family, too.

I love spending time with my family and friends in the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. Fishing, sports, and travel are among my many interests. I have also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and coached youth sports. There’s a very rewarding aspect to coaching, as it allows me to help guide kids on how to be successful in their specific sport and also in their lives.
